Mercury in Gemini

She knows all my details she's got my facts

Mercury enters Gemini on 10th June 2010 at 05:41 Universal Time where the trickster will stay until 25th June 2010.  Gemini is Mercury's home and the sign of its rulership.  In Taurus we saw a mind that fixed its gaze upon itself - what is owned, valued, possessed and the qualities and sensualities of physical existence.  Whilst this helped to attune our senses to value, place and taste, Mercury in Taurus was slow, plodding and restricted.  Mercury in Gemini is now free to do what Mercury does best - play, trick and communicate - the winged feet have been loosened from their shackles and can now fly, to spread the message of the worth, accumulated in Taurus, to others. 

Mercury in Gemini is a mind that buzzes and flits - it loves the to and fro of its immediate environment and travelling to those not yet experienced.  It is here we see Gemini duality - from one to the other, from sibling to sibling and the pathways that connect people and experiences - Mercury in Gemini makes these connections and learns as he fly's.

With Mars ingressed into Virgo we see a double whammy of communication symbolism.  This is a time where Mercury and Mars will work in tandem (and sometimes at odds) to walk the logical paths and exchange the 'cosmic loom' as Dennis Elwell describes it - the loom between ourselves and others - to build the bridges and connect the synaptics so heightened now by Jupiter and Uranus in Aries.
