Lunar Eclipse 26th June 2010 Part II of II

"The Heat is on, on the street. Inside your head, on every beat. And the beat's alive - deep inside.  The pressures high - just to stay alive.  Yes the heat is on"

Glenn Frey - The Heat is On

There is a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on 26th June 2010 at 11:30 Universal Time.  In the sign of Capricorn, the spotlight is upon the highest reach of the zodiac - status, power, authority, achievement, advancement, career and our 'public' faces.  And, as with the previous eclipses we recently saw across Cancer/Capricorn (The Lunar Eclipse on New Years Eve and Solar Eclipse on 15th January) parenting is also another theme - the 'spine' of our lives is being tested with this lunation.

This eclipse takes up the final seat in the Grand Cross - the Cancer Sun opposes the Moon, which is conjunct Pluto in Capricorn and all of the other major players Square this axis - Jupiter and Uranus in Aries, Saturn in Virgo.  Mercury in Cancer also chips in, sitting next to the Cancer Sun.  It's a smorgasbord.

The Sabian Symbols for the planets active here are as follows:

Moon and Pluto : "Indians - Some rowing a canoe while others are dancing a war dance"
Moving On, aggressive forces, power and strength
Sun : "At a railroad, an automobile is wrecked by a train"
Consequences, scheduling coming together all at once, rebelling, crossroads in life
Saturn: "A man is gaining secret knowledge from an ancient scroll he is reading"
Answers, clues from the past and records, documents, paperwork that carries weight and detail
Jupiter: "A cameo shows the profile of a man that suggests the outline of his country"
Large, limitations, borders, allegiance, your place in the bigger pictures at work
Mercury: "An arctic explorer leads a reindeer through icy canyons"
Instinct, bad weather, going over the edge, risks
North Node: "A student of nature lecturing, revealing little known aspects of life"
Issues coming out of the closet
Mars: "A boy molded in his mother's aspirations for him"
Emotional direction, inheritance, destiny, the process of 'becoming'

So, drawing from my previous article on this eclipse, we know the 'eclipse family', the undercurrent of this lunation, has a strong inflection of Libran energy - meetings, negotiations, get togethers with others will be a feature, and with Jupiter and the North Node conjunct in that chart, an explosive release from the past.

With that in mind this eclipse promises to bring that explosive release hinted at.  The Sun, Saturn, Moon and Pluto hint at a battle ground, perhaps with authority figures - opposing viewpoints, challenges, investigations and Jupiter and Uranus in Aries forcing the expansion, the breaking out from the old to the new, the release from confinement, the aggressive energy and verve.  The North Node of this eclipse speaks of issues being revealed and combined with the Cancer/Capricorn feel, emotional and material battles for survival, control and status.  Phew!

This is most definitely a high point of 2010 in my opinion.  However, it is worth remembering the positive message contained within this eclipse family - it turns out ok in the end.  The position of Mars in this chart (it Trines the North Node and Sextiles the South Node) backs this up - actions taken will ultimately have positive results.  If you are in the midst of chaos and confusion it might help to remember that - if we desire big changes in the world and in our personal lives, then events like these take us there.
