Saturn, the crystalliser, the boundary setter, tester of strength and commitment and metaphoric planetary 'full stop' has come to a stop in the sky. His momentum however is forwards, as he is stationed direct to turn from his backward motion on 30th May at 19:08 Universal Time. He's at a 'full stop' about to start a new sentence.
Saturn is on the 28th degree of Virgo (by Sabian Symbol) which reads 'A Bald Headed Man in Uniform has seized power'. This degree epitomises strength, domination, power, control - it is a very 'male' degree. Take a look at the picture of the Bald Eagle - there's a look of 'don't mess with me' about it - the Eagle knows where he sits, has affirmed his position and will not be budged.
Saturn was on this degree in early October 2009. What we experience now is an inflection of events at that time. Are we the ones taking power and control, affirming you position? Or are we at the mercy of someone else's attempts at dominating our mental space? Saturn in Virgo themes are work (are we the employee making such affirmations or is our boss the dominant one?), our health and practical routines. Saturn went retrograde in January so perhaps events from October 2009 lulled since then. With a newly ingressed Uranus in Aries those events will come to life again - action will be seized, and seized quickly. What began in October 2009 is going to be resolved once and for all.
When I look back at the posts I wrote at that time I find this one on the conjunction of Mercury and Saturn where I discussed mental health. Take a look at the picture I used - it was supposed to represent 'Mind' which was a theme of the post. This is the 'bald headed man' the Sabian Symbol refers to. Sometimes Astrology is so simple and obvious - I hadn't a clue then that I was choosing a picture that reflected Saturn's symbol quite so well!
So...is the Eagle looking at you or are you the Eagle? I would suggest you try and be the latter and prepare to take flight, lest you be pushed.

Very interesting. Right now everything, and i mean everything, seems to be going wrong. Broken toes, blocked roads, dead cars, power outages, wild fires in my neck of the woods - literally. I have never felt so powerless... I wonder if this relates to Saturns stop...
Hey Athena - it's not down to Saturn alone - there's an orgy of challenging planetary lineups - Uranus in Aries, Saturn in Virgo/Libra, Pluto in Capricorn - it's the Cardinal Cross - we're going through an intense period of change personally and globally.
Hi - These comments about Saturn seem incredibly apt as regards my own situation. In October 2009 I felt I was being controlled(unfairly)by a solicitor. and lost a lot of money I am just worki8ng up to a further fight, in order to gain some control and get back power (also retrieve money) Maybe it should be flight not fight!?
Hey there - sounds very apt yes! The symbolism and movements of Saturn are global - to have it speak to your situation in such a clear way Saturn is most likely making strong aspects to your natal chart - good luck with it - now's the time to resolve that situation and be the eagle :-)

Hi. I figured I would post here, rather than on twitter. I am def feeling it.. lots of the virgo/saturn and all of it. Over the last year.. and this movement, or nrg has what is driving me to write, over painting. A different tool, mechanism of expression. Where painting is more fluid for me. The 'voice' is chosing the concrete language I have in words. If that makes sense?
