Saturn Conjunct Pluto

Those of us born in the late 60's and early 70's are experiencing Saturn conjunct our natal Pluto at the moment.  Everyone gets this transit at some point - and pretty, it isn't.  This duo seems to delight in prising out fear, destruction and transformation in a number of different disguises.  With transiting Pluto in Capricorn an overhaul of structure is a theme.  With Saturn in Libra it could be relationships, and when it trips back into Virgo (as it is now) work might be the issue.  The to and fro of Saturn means whatever the scenario is, it's hotting up and has been at the forefront of our lives since the autumn of last year (and probably in the background for longer).  I'll write more about this in another article.  For now, I'll leave you with one facet of my own Saturn/Pluto experience - the dentists:

In the side room, at the dentist
I'm late
Wait for the ferryman, to usher me in
And see the scythe
Gleam, bearing down

A prod; little sharp stick
Tests my rock, my bones
She's thorough - good at this
(It's unsettling she's wearing a mask!)

Mercury prods Mercury
Nasty little sharps
The imp diving in; running amok
My tongue lollops

It all becomes grey
As Pluto enters the fray
Taking an x-ray
(don't blame them for leaving the room
    but couldn't I come too????)

She shows me the nerve
Shadowed and grey, on the x-ray
Pluto decay

Oh bones, I wish I'd brushed
and tidied and tucked
This trauma, it's too much
My core, rocking; shaken
by the shadows, bearing on me
Cannot shake them free

Can the tooth be crowned?
Made new, shining sound
and bright; A new start!

No, he's gotta go
Decapitate, bring him down
Toppled from his perch
Scandals done him in
Far too much sin

(Final pass, new; direct
Is the date for the arrest)

For now, brief reprieve
I can sigh and breathe
But soon, ripped apart
Saturn's grip; Pluto's rip

Take care of my squares
I shall after this
Dip in fear; vice like grip
Hades trip

Floss, clean and prod
Occasionally nod
To the ferryman to take
To the chair of the lost
Paying the cost.
Of Arm, Leg and Tooth

History, made here
Lose what you hold dear
Vice grip.....smeared in fear.
