Rebooting

Pluto stationed into retrograde motion at 03:34 today and Saturn who is currently retrograde moves from Libra back into Virgo at 19:50 (Universal Time).

This then is quite significant - the two major planets in the Cardinal Grand Cross both making tectonic like shifts in position.  They are both set to run over old ground.  In Saturn's case it will retrograde back to the point it was at in mid October 2009 and Pluto retrogrades back to its position in mid December 2009.  There is an opportunity to relearn lessons from that time and solidify our positions.  This crystallisation of strength will come via opposition - it is only through conflict that we gain an understanding of ourselves and our path - it tests our mettle and the decisions we make.

Since October 29th Saturn has been transiting Libra but turned backwards on January 12th before it finally turns direct in Virgo at the beginning of June.  This phase asks the question 'What are you doing about it?'.  The sky has been very stagnant over the winter period, which in the main, can be attributed to the Mars retrograde - it's been like stepping through treacle.  We might have been left somewhat bereft of idea and movement.  We are now in a clearer position and are being asked to examine the details of what we do.  Questions such as how are you working through your problems? What is it you are actually trying to achieve/make/deliver/serve/craft?  These questions need some further work now.

Saturn in Virgo has a quality of spirit about it - a sense of right from wrong and purity of ethic.  This could serve us well now and will undoubtedly be tested.  Uranus comes to oppose Saturn at the end of this month for the penultimate exact opposition.  Pluto is also still in Square aspect.  Challenge will come, and we could lose some footing, maybe requiring a reboot of a particular path or ideal.  It's important to remain steadfast, stick to plans but be prepared to adjust to plans B and C at any given moment.

Amidst all this, Pluto slips into reverse gear also.  It feels like a final hurrah before Uranus enters Aries in late May.  The universe has this funny way of rocking back and forth - go forth, revise, go forth, revise is the momentum, stealing its way.  The six virtues for Pluto in Capricorn this coming year are:

1. Simplify, reduce, walk new paths to renewal.
2. Be strong and alert amidst challenge.
3. Seek help and offer it to others.
4. Make concrete plans that affirm positions.
5. Go inwards to find strength - repair from in to out.
6. Not to give in to fear.

Good luck on your journeys :-)
