Juggling the Moon

Tuesday December 2nd sees a Full Moon in Gemini at 07:30 UT.  If you have a friend with the Moon in Gemini you'll know about it!  This is the sort of person that is constantly mentally restless.  They may talk on the phone, watch TV and browse the internet at the same time.  There is often a very strong need for emotional, mental and communicative 'chatter'.  Gemini is also the sign of duality and with the Moon here juggling concepts and ideas and bouncing them off others is to the fore.

So, what does a Full Moon here signify?  Well, the Gemini Moon takes the stored value and worth from its previous sign of Taurus and seeks to share it, to differentiate it from other values - to compare and contrast.  It is also playful, and perhaps most importantly, wants others to play with their ideas (and like it).  Gemini Moon wants to be feel connected - but loosely connected.

The fullness of the emotional Moon brings the following opportunities:

1. To understand the nature of our communication.  To really tune in to what we say, think and write and feel how it is perceived by others and reflected back to us.
2. The true art of listening to others views and to be mindful of our own feelings.  In other words, to balance what we think with what we feel.
3. To understand youthfulness and the art of 'becoming'.  Watching the seeds of ideas and conversations that were born at the previous New Moon and see how they have blossomed.

The Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon says 'Newly opened lands offer the pioneer new opportunities for experience'.  This fits rather well with Mercury's aspects at this time (Mercury is Gemini's ruling planet).  Mercury makes an opportunity enhanced Sextile to the Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron triple conjunction promising new ideas, hopes and dreams.  However, it also makes a challenging square aspect to Uranus.  There is the possibility of communication going awry at this time (particularly electronic communications).

Maybe some Saturn in Libra negotiation skills is in order.  It is also possible that we hold our torch of ideas aloft and encounter someone who may want to blow it out!  Whichever way it works, the essence of the time is to tune in to our heads and our hearts.
