Astrologically, the grand cross is already taking shape in the sky and we feel its effects. May 28th 2010 sees a veritable orgy of challenge with the following line up: Saturn in Virgo opposes a newly ingressed Uranus in Aries which is conjunct Jupiter in Pisces. Pluto in Capricorn squares these two whilst itself opposing Venus in Cancer (this makes up the cardinal grand cross). Adding to this conundrum on this date is a Full Moon in Sagittarius and Mars in Leo opposing Neptune in Aquarius. The most significant event here is Uranus moving into Aries. This speaks of disruption, the start of something new and unique or the violent breaking off from structure and relationship. The Uranus ingress means that its mutual reception with Neptune in Aquarius is gone. This is rather like a reality check and shift - it is a time of action, no more daydreaming; a time where profound power struggles can occur and relationships on all levels will be affected - globally and personally.
So, how do we navigate this? The simple answer is this - do not wait to get your butt kicked. The time for planning is NOW. You may already suspect the themes lying in wait - if they are relationship themes then begin planning independence. If they are financial then start to plan new avenues of income. If they are work related then look at your career options, maybe invest in a course of study. Perhaps think about teaming up with others or networking to share the load.
What has all of this got to do with Lost I hear you ask? Well, art mirrors life. The stories portrayed on our screens are a reflection of the energy of the time. We have already been given some clues to season 6. The dreaminess and time shifting will end. The main characters and protagonists have come forward and are set for a battle for power of almost mythical proportions (Matthew Fox has said that Jack Shepherd and John Locke will go head to head). Uranus in Aries is a very 'nuclear' energy - I wonder if the ending will provide this sort of shock, resulting in such a dynamic shift that the island will cease to exist? The Sagittarius Full Moon speaks of giving birth to a new philosophy of faith. Some astrologers have been commenting that the coming few years may see the world making extra terrestrial contact. I'll reserve judgment on that - but in the show? hmmm, maybe. The Mars/Neptune opposition is a kind of fight or flight energy. Do we take action or do we dissolve? If handled correctly it can be utilised as innovative and focused creativity - fulfilling hopes and dreams. The ending of the show may be definitive but be enigmatic - leaving us thinking. There might be a message but not necessarily all the answers.
Just as the characters Jack Shepherd and John Locke will grow further into their own power during season 6, so must you. The energy of the time can be used positively to break our own self imposed shackles - be the person we always wanted to be. Be the person you were born to be. Begin to invest time in your own 'Dharma Initiative'....
