Whilst in Scorpio Mercury had the mind of the detective - ferreting under the surface, researching, probing - a period of inner work and contemplation - intense and emotional. In Sagittarius these lessons and truths will come forward and see the light of day. Mercury here is broadminded, keen and witty (this is often the aspect you might find in a comedian for instance). The detail is still there having traversed through Scorpio and will now be imbued with enthusiasm. Bigger pictures are the order of the day and our minds and communications will now seek out new experience - travelling, learning, philosophy and foreign cultures will be new interests.
Mercury in Sagittarius can be a somewhat unsubtle placement - the enthusiasm can surface as blunders of some sort - speaking out of turn can be a feature as can an overestimation of our thinking and philosophy. If we've been (or are going through) a period of negotiation with employers or partners then we should take care of thinking we are more important than we are.
However, despite this caution this is a time to expand our mindset, see the bigger pictures ahead and point our 'Arrow of Intent'.

Thankyou! The picture is a representation of how alone Mercury might feel in Sagittarius at present - it's in the dark (because Scorpio energy is still strong) but continues to shoot the arrow of intent.
