Positives and Negatives
The sky is very challenged at present and there is even more challenge ahead for the next few years. Challenge does represent opportunity though - it provides the kick to effect change. Astrologically a lot of this involves 'societal shift' - the degree of its effect individually can really only be found through an accurate diagnosis of a birth chart. Now, a lot of what is written by astrologers (I don't necessarily preclude myself from this habit) is rather, well doom mongery.
What gets missed out often is polarity - that positives and negatives are 2 sides of the same coin - there is always something of value in the experience if you just look hard enough.
Here's an example from my own chart - I have had Saturn in Virgo conjunct my natal Mars in Virgo for quite a while - first it passes, then Saturn goes retrograde and it passes again, then direct etc. etc. you get the picture! Now, this transit has been a struggle - Saturn and Mars are very different bedfellows - Saturn controls, restricts, sustains, needs quality - Mars wants creativity, action and passion. The result of all this has most definitely seen a marked decrease in my energy levels, general enthusiasm and 'get up and go'. But.....I have also gained - Saturn has got me seriously creative (Mars) - where I have had energy I've poured it into pursuits that will hopefully bring lasting benefit.
So..the mantra for this post is, don't believe doom mongery and learn to take value from challenge - every sign of the zodiac has polarity and it also has its opposite - every planet and every aspect can be viewed in this sense also. Astrology is about real life and real energies and it's all about finding the balance.
