Astrology of the Week

Monday starts with the Moon in Virgo crossing over Saturn. Watch for any melancholy during today and pay attention to details. The working week starts nicely on Tuesday with the Sun in trine aspect to Saturn. A nice time for authority in general - accomplishment, setting rules for future potential, furthering of goals through steady hard work and seeing the road ahead. With the trine aspect it won't come immediately on your plate but if you can make an effort you should see results. Wednesday sees Mars crossing into a semi-square with the asteroid Chiron - personal drive and creativity may be blocked - perhaps our ideas are too 'out of the box' and don't fit or work with the group. Thursday sees the planet Mercury stationing retrograde in Gemini. It will backtrack through the sky (re-entering Taurus as it goes) until June 2nd. This is generally not a particularly auspicious time for communications - emails, phone calls, conversations, travel, letters, technology can all go awry during this period. It can also signify a time to internalise our thought process - perhaps a nice time to think deeply and carefully. Also on Thursday Mars makes another semi-square - this time to Neptune which may highlight feelings of misplaced drive and energy. On Friday the Moon is now in intense Scorpio and the Sun sesqui-square Pluto. Biological urges and tendencies may come to the fore again which has been a recurrent theme for the last few weeks - the real trick here is getting into ourselves, exploring our drives and ego and can be used in a healing sense if we so wish. Saturday sees the Scorpio Moon opposing the Sun and therefore becoming a Full Moon. This could be an intense weekend - Scorpio rules intensity, shared emotion, finance, sexuality and with the full light of the moon these themes may be intensified. With Mercury retrograde at this time we should watch for recurring communication patterns, checking facts about hearsay and conjecture - this could be a good weekend for healing, getting to the bottom of difficulties and issues and using penetrative psychological thought processes to come to understanding. This is not a time for starting new things - rather a time for enlightenment and emotional illumination. The Moon moves into Sagittarius on Sunday making a more dynamic and expansive beginning to next week.

In summary the Sun/Saturn link up at the beginning of the week is an excellent time to get our houses in order before Mercury goes retrograde and makes order more challenging. The Full Moon in Scorpio illuminates as long as we watch our ego's and communications.
